Raising Hearts to Remember

Parishioners and community members from around the Lower Mainland gathered to created needle felted hearts as part of a project to honour the 215 children who died at the residential school in Kamloops. The felted hearts are one part of a larger collaborative project with Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists and craftspeople that will be assembled on 30 September and remain a visible presence until all the 215 remains are repatriated to their final resting places. At that time the collaborative project will be returned to the Ancestors.

If you would like to be part of the next felting day on 28 August, simply reach out to the Parish office for more information.
