The International Day of the Seafarer is June 25, which is recognized by the United Nations as a day of observance. It was established in a resolution adopted by the 2010 Diplomatic Conference in Manila. A seafarer is any person employed or engaged to work on board a ship, whose normal place of work is at sea, including officers, crew, and the ship’s master.
